The Beach Bazaar is located at 16702 Rockaway Beach Blvd, Queens. US Open For two weeks, New York becomes the tennis capital of the world. The event includes not only your favorite tennis pros, but also live performers and food vendors on the grounds. And who knows...you might score an autograph from the likes of Serena Williams or Roger Federer and even mix and mingle with the VIPs. This one is for the outdoors and art lovers! This weekend-long sidewalk show showcases national and international fine artists and craft artisans. The venue is located on University Place, starting at East 13th Street and continues south along the east side of Washington Square Park to West 3rd Street. The southern end of the of the show surrounds Schwartz Plaza, between NYU's Shimkin Hall and Bobst Library.

West Indian-American Carnival and Parade

This annual event brings thousands of people to Crown Heights in Brooklyn. During the seven-hour carnival, you can enjoy the calypso bands and dancers in elaborate costumes march down Eastern Parkway while grabbing some island homestyle food from many vendors. The pre-parade parties begin with the J'ouvert (french for daybreak), an irreverent festival that includes revelers dressed up as political figures or celebrities and they throw powdered paint at each other.
